The semi-final of "Miss Ukraine-Universe - 2007" contest has taken place.

The first audition of the "Miss Ukraine-Universe" contest took place in of Inter TV- channel building. From 41 000 forms sent, the president of the contest Alexandra Nikolaenko has chosen 200 the most beautiful representatives from whole Ukraine. These girls went before the first jury: Alexandra Nikolaenko (the president of the contest "Miss Ukraine-Universe"), Egor Benkerdorf ( the producer of Inter TV-channel), Aleksey Diveev-Tserkovniy ( the TV-presenter, model), Gela Todua ( The president of "Best Model of Ukraine" contest). After defile in swimsuits, interview in English, the jury had chosen Top 15 beauties.

"The agiotage of the contest was so strong this year, so we hardly have time to handle all incoming forms. It seems that the success of previous winner, her ranking among TOP-20 of "Miss Universe" contest as well as her impetuous career has inspired Ukrainian girls. The number ones who wished - more then 41 000, from whom only 200 were called to take part in audition in Kyiv. The goal of audition is to become personally acquainted with pretenders, appreciate their looks, the intellectual level as well as the level of their English." said National director of the "Miss Ukraine-Universe" contest Alexandra Nikolaenko.
