Married women and mothers will be admitted to Miss Universe

The updated rules will be applied to the participants of the Miss Ukraine Universe contest.

Starting from 2023, pregnant women and mothers, as well as women who are or have been married, will be allowed to participate in the Miss Universe and Miss Ukraine Universe contests.

Earlier this year, the Miss Universe Organization conducted a survey among the audience of the pageant and among the directors of national pageants. The results of the survey showed that both the Miss Universe team and fans of the pageant believe that a woman's personal decisions should not have an impact on her career success.

Recent data also showed that the average age of marriage for women and first pregnancy worldwide is 21.
